GPaste 50.4 released

by Marc-Antoine Perennou on June 21, 2026

Tagged as: , , , .

It’s available there, get it while it’s hot!

This release targets GNOME 50.

If you’re looking for the legacy applet/tray-icon, it’s available here.

What’s new?

This is a maintenance release.

  • GNOME Shell extension: fix history items gradually disappearing from the menu (overlapping daemon updates could leave rows permanently hidden)
  • UI: fix keyboard input in the main window so Escape and Enter no longer swallow keystrokes meant for the search or history switch entries, and type-to-search now works right after startup

And don’t forget to run gpaste-client dr aka gpaste-client daemon-reexec after upgrading GPaste to activate new functionalities ;)

You can then run gpaste-client daemon-version to check that the correct daemon is running.
